Richard Rozze formed ‘Open Water’ in 2015 to play acoustic music inspired by traditional music from England and Ireland, American Bluegrass and the songs of the great ‘Tunesmiths.’
Featuring Richard Rozze on acoustic guitars, dobro, banjo, mandolin and vocals, award winning vocalist Joanne Doolan, Jeff Alexander on guitar, banjo and vocals, and Alex Keen on double bass, ‘Open Water’ play finely crafted original compositions alongside excellent arrangements of popular and traditional songs.
All three members have individual albums out on British label ‘Pathway Records’ and will record as ‘Open Water’ later in the year.
”Richard Rozze is an artist who has successfully forged a unique approach to his playing and compositions. He glides effortlessly through multi-genre worlds, his solos flawlessly committed to his surroundings. (Paul Booth – saxophonist with the Steve Winwood Band)
“Jo’s soulful, heartfelt approach is a blessing. Vulnerability and talent in shedloads. I love her!” – Ian Shaw
